How We Handle Allergens
Cupcakes are for life’s best moments – and that means having treats that are accessible for everyone. Here’s how we deal with gluten, nuts, and animal products in our baking.
Gluten
For people who prefer low-gluten products
It’s hard to find a good cupcake if you can’t tolerate gluten, so we think you’ll love our line-up of low-gluten indulgences. Our cupcakes and cakes are made with almond meal instead of wheat, and are indicated with the ‘GF’ symbol.
Please keep in mind that, despite our best efforts, we do bake our low-gluten and gluten treats in the same bakery. That means there may be traces of gluten even in cupcakes marked with the ‘GF’ symbol.
We recommend treating this symbol as ‘low gluten’ – our cupcakes are not suitable for people with gluten intolerances or celiac disease.

Nuts
For people with nut allergies
Catering to a group with nut allergies? The majority of our cakes and cupcakes are nut-free. Those that do contain nuts are indicated with the ‘N’ symbol.
Although we do make our nut-containing and nut-free treats in the same bakery, we avoid cross-contamination by using separate utensils to handle anything with nuts. We can also pack nut-containing and nut-free cupcakes separately upon request.
The following products do contain nuts (so avoid them if you have a nut allergy).

Animal Products
For vegetarians, vegans, and people who want low-dairy treats
If you expected our cakes and cupcakes to be 100% vegetarian, you’re right – there’s no meat involved in any Little Cupcakes product.
Although we do use eggs and milk in most of our baking, select treats are made without any animal products. These vegan cakes and cupcakes are indicated with the ‘VE’ symbol.
Please keep in mind that, despite our best efforts to avoid cross-contamination, we do make vegan and non-vegan treats in the same facilities, so even those marked with the ‘VE’ symbol may contain traces of dairy.
